Church.

The word doesn’t exactly light an emotive fire, does it?  No, to most people, church is simply something one does.  It takes about an hour, plus or minus depending on the preacher.

Such a viewpoint is unfortunate, despite its popularity.  It’s unfortunate because it misses what church can be.  Even more, it misses what the church is called to be.

It isn’t until one takes away the walls and the formal pulpit, even the cushioned pews and weekly bulletins, that the true church begins to emerge; a church that isn’t made of static objects and disposable resources, but a church that is made of people.  Real people with real needs dealing with real life.  This is the church.

Together, we're striving to become the kind of church God intended: a church made up of people who desire to know God, who seek to follow His will, who engage in heart-felt worship, who build honest and lasting relationships. In the end, we'd like to be a church that influences and encourages the entire community, one life at a time.
